MISSION STATEMENT

At Sunrise Oasis Academy of Reading (SOAR), our mission is to provide an exceptional educational experience to students with dyslexia &/or other language-based learning difficulties and to empower them to overcome their reading difficulties/differences and to unlock their full potential. Every child has the right to a high-quality education, and we are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment where students with learning difficulties/differences can thrive. 

SOAR has dedicated faculty and staff working to create individualized learning plans that meet the unique needs of each student within the provided lesson. We use evidence-based, systematic, and explicit Orton-Gillingham teaching methods. We will integrate and teach the latest assistive technologies at appropriate ages to help students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed academically and in life. 

SOAR is more than just a place to learn - it's a community that celebrates the strengths and achievements of every student. We believe in fostering a culture of inclusion, communication, and respect, where neurodiversity is celebrated and every voice is heard.

SOAR is a Microschool where we are committed to helping students with dyslexia and other language-based learning difficulties/differences become confident and capable readers in every subject, ready to take on the world with courage and determination. Our goal is to teach children to read so they can read to learn as their education continues.
